Joe Weaver recorded for Chess Records and led the house band for the revered Fortune Records label. He has sung and played with John Lee Hooker, Little Willie John, Nolan Strong & the Diablos, among many others.
Stanley Mitchell started with Billy Ward & the Dominoes, joined Lionel Hampton's Hamp-tones, then formed his own band, the Tornadoes. Chess Records signed him, and he rewarded them with his hit single "Four Oclock in the Morning" and other R & B classics. He also performed at Motown during the label's golden years.
Kenny Martin had a successful solo career for Federal Records, hitting the R & B charts with songs such as "I'm Sorry", and many others. He toured extensively with Sam Cooke.
Gino Parks was one of Detroits greats. Recordings with Andre Williams and Stevie Wonder will attest to that. Both an exciting performer and a talented songwriter Gino set the standard in Detroit in the 1950s and 60s. He returns to Detroit for a rare appearance.
